ONLINE ENTRY OVERVIEW

Locals Art Space provides a seamless end-to-end online Exhibit Artwork Submission and Entry Fee Payment process. It is cloud-based, paper-free, and frustration-free experience. For each submitted work, provide the Artwork Title, Media, Dimensions (LxWxH), and Price. Next upload the image file. You may submit up to three works, depending on the stated requirements of the exhibit. The total Entry Fee is calculated. Click Submit to process your Exhibit Artwork Submission. On the Confirmation Page, click on the link to pay the Entry Fee online. You will receive an email with a copy of your Exhibit Artwork Submission and a payment confirmation of the Entry Fee.

PREPARE FOR YOUR ONLINE ENTRY​

Organize your submission information before beginning the online entry process.

For each entry you will need to provide: Artwork Title, Media, Dimensions (LxWxH) and Price. Also, you will be uploading the image online. Do not send your images via email.

Have a clear image for each entry. The image file can be a jpeg, png, or tiff. To resize your image, open it in an image processing program and change the dimensions to between 800–1200 pixels on the largest side. Do not submit thumbnails (less than 800×800 pixels). Minimum resolution should be set to 72dpi. File size should be less than 1MB. If you need assistance with this requirement, please contact us for support.

ENTRY FEES

Locals Art Space Members: $10 per entry

Non-Members: $15 per entry

ONLINE PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEES

Entry Fees are non-refundable. There is no additional cost to you to pay online.

All major credit cards are accepted. Bank ACH transfers are available.

We are unable to accept payment via PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, etc.

Entry Fee payment must be received before your entries can be included in the exhibit.

DELIVERING WORKS

All work must be hand-delivered to Locals Art Space at 408 Main Street, Asbury Park, NJ 07712. Locals Art Space is not equipped at this time to receive or return works shipped via USPS or delivery services.

All two-dimensional works must be wired for hanging: no saw tooth hangers, cleats, string, or tape are permitted.

There is a maximum of 20 lbs weight for work intended to be hung.

Three-dimensional work can be freestanding or displayed on a pedestal. If a special pedestal size is needed, the artist must supply it. All three-dimensional works must be able to be lifted by one person.

RETRIEVING WORKS

All artists must retrieve their own works from Locals Art Space by the show close date.

If you are unable to retrieve your work during the allotted time, you must make arrangements for someone else to pick it up.

Work left beyond two weeks after the scheduled pick-up date will be considered abandoned. Abandoned work will become the property of Locals Art Space and will be sold to benefit Locals Art Space.

GALLERY COMMISSION ON ART WORK SALES
Art work sold is subject to a Gallery Commission Fee of 30% for Members and 35% for Non-Members. Your Net Sales Proceeds (Sale Price of all your works sold less Gallery Commission Fees) will be paid to you after the conclusion of the Exhibit. Note that works sold must remain on exhibit throughout the duration of the Exhibit.
INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE REPORTING
If your total calendar year Net Sales Proceeds (Sale Price of all your works sold less Gallery Commission Fees) equals or exceeds $600, Locals Art Space is required to report the amount on IRS Form 1099-NEC Non-Employee Compensation. You are required to provide your Taxpayer Identification Number (Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number) to Locals Art Space on IRS Form W-9, Request for Taxpayer
Identification Number and Certification.
NEW JERSEY SALES TAX ON ART WORK SALES
Art sold is subject to New Jersey Sales Tax. Locals Art Space holds a Certificate of Authority to collect Reduced Sales Tax at 3.3125% under the Urban Enterprise Program, which is 50% of the New Jersey Sales Tax rate of 6.625%. Locals Art Space is responsible for collection and remittance of New Jersey Sales Tax.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Locals Art Space will make every effort to treat your artwork with care. However, work is submitted at the artist’s risk. Locals Art Space and its Members will not be held liable for lost or damaged work. Artists are responsible for insuring their work from delivery to pick-up.
MEDIA + PRESS RELEASES
Locals Art Space reserves the right to use digital images of exhibited artworks for the sole purpose of promotion of this exhibit and Locals Art Space on social media, websites, and advertising. Artists are responsible for watermarking their images if they wish to do so. Locals Art Space will not share images of minors without express prior consent from a parent or guardian.

Exhibit Entry Fee Online Payment
We use Zeffy, a 100% free platform for nonprofit organizations like ours. We do not incur monthly fees or credit card processing fees ​on credit card charges you make for artwork purchases, donations, or fees for classes and workshops you attend. Zeffy is a certified B Corporation that relies entirely on voluntary contributions from people like you. Contributions to Zeffy are optional and you may change the suggested donation percentage.
